If you are looking for hotels in Míšov, the Brdy landscape and the named destinations provide a concrete framework for planning your trip. Protected forest and tree areas, hikes, cycle routes and the ATOMMUZEUM appeal to different interests. You can decide what to focus on—nature, hiking trails, a cycling trip or local history.

Landscape and Natural Monuments

The built-up area of Míšov lies in Zone IV of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Brdy). The Míšovské buky Natural Monument protects a remnant of a fir-beech forest in the Brdy. Ancient beech trees grow there, some of which are up to 250 years old.

Visitor access to the natural monument is currently unrestricted. However, due to its small size, the terrain, the lack of marked trails within the area and the absence of paved roads, recreational use is limited to less intensive walking. These usage restrictions are part of the planning: Míšovské buky is primarily a place for a peaceful nature walk, not for longer hikes within the protected area itself.

Another distinctive natural and local landmark is the protected group of trees known as Lípy v Míšově. It consists of two commemorative trees in Bělehrad, a district of Míšov, opposite the former inn at No. 22. Their branches intertwine, forming a compact whole. They are over twenty metres tall and stand out as a prominent landmark in the landscape.

Hiking and Cycling Routes

A hike to Třemšín can start in Míšov and passes the Nad Maráskem rocks. Both route options are listed as approximately 20 kilometres long. This distance is a useful guide for planning your day; trail conditions and restrictions may change. Check the latest conditions before setting out.

For a cycling trip, the Za rozhledy na Jordán excursion follows a cycle route from Míšov to the Padrťské rybníky. A cycling route from Míšov continues to the Jordán impact area. There you will find former military bunkers, and the site also offers a beautiful view of the landscape. As access restrictions may change, check the current conditions in advance.

The excursions therefore differ both in how you travel and in the destinations mentioned: the hike leads to Třemšín and passes the Nad Maráskem rocks, while the cycling excursion leads to the Padrťské rybníky. The cycling route to the Jordán impact area combines views of the landscape with the historical connection to the former military bunkers.

Museum and Local History

The ATOMMUZEUM is located on the southern edge of the Brdy between Borovno and Míšov. The ATOMMUZEUM Javor 51 can be reached from Míšov via a local road. If you plan to visit, check the latest route conditions for your journey.

The district of Huť also reflects the area's historical use: its name comes from a glassworks that operated there in the 17th and 18th centuries. This local history adds another way to explore Míšov's past, alongside its natural monuments and excursion destinations.
