Brodowo combines a park and architectural history dating from the late 19th century with religious figures in the village and a completed walking and cycling path to Środa Wielkopolska. When planning a trip, you can therefore consider both local cultural features and a connection between two places.

Park and Manor House

The park by the manor house is dated to the years 1880 to 1890 and includes a linden avenue more than a hundred years old. On May 16, 1977, it was entered in the heritage register under number 1762/A. The dates refer to different things: 1880 to 1890 is the park’s dating, while 1977 is the date it was registered. This distinguishes the time when it was established from its registration status. A specific phase of construction is also documented at the manor house: at the end of the 19th century, a two-storey south wing was added. Two-storey means that the wing extends over two floors; “south wing” describes its position on the building. The park and manor house thus shed light on two different aspects of Brodowo’s architectural history: the grounds with their avenue and the expansion of the house toward the end of the century.

The estate initially belonged to the Szołdarski family and later to the Wize family. This succession adds the ownership history of the estate to its architectural history.

Religious Figures and Local Traditions

A 19th-century figure of the Madonna and Child stands on Przemysłowa Street. A figure of Christ stands on Słoneczna Street; Brodowo also has a figure of Saint Valentine. These motifs complement the history of the park and manor house with religious cultural features of the village.

A family festival is one of Brodowo’s local traditions. You can therefore plan a hotel stay around a confirmed date rather than relying on a fixed event date.
