Since early July 2026, an inclusive upper-body trainer has also been available on Gebrüder-Grimm-Straße. This means that both the trail’s equipment and an additional training option on the street are part of Poing’s range of outdoor activities.
At Bergfeldsee in Poing, there is a volleyball court, an outdoor table tennis table and a large sand and water play area. Route 6 passes through Bergfeldpark to the Monopteros, continues to the humming stone and the Roman excavations, and also takes in Bergfeldsee. The parish church of Blessed Father Rupert Mayer in Poing was consecrated in 2018. It is the newest church in the archdiocese and the only one dedicated to Blessed Father Rupert Mayer. The church attracts visitors who want to see its architecture and liturgical furnishings by Ulrich RĂĽckriem, including the large crucifix by Josef Henselmann. Alongside its comparatively recent history, it therefore offers specific architectural and artistic points of interest.
The old parish church of St. Michael is one of Poing’s two protected historic buildings. Its Gothic tower dates back to Roman times; after a partial collapse, the church was completely rebuilt and extended in 1954. Compared with the parish church of Blessed Father Rupert Mayer, consecrated in 2018, St. Michael’s history reaches further back and also includes the extensive post-war reconstruction.
