St. Mary's Church and its architectural history

Kusterdingen's St. Mary's Church was rebuilt in 1506 on the site of an earlier church. The Protestant parish church is a unified late Gothic structure dating from 1506/07; its ceiling paintings are from the same period. The church underwent extensive renovations in 1886/87, 1954/55 and 2000/01. This makes it possible to distinguish the original construction period from the later phases of renovation.
