Bad Langenau (Długopole-Zdrój) combines a striking location at the foot of the mountains and on the riverbank with a spa park, mineral water and historic architecture. When looking for a hotel, you can consider whether the landscape, park and water or the architectural history matter more for your stay.

Landscape and spa climate

Bad Langenau is picturesquely situated at the foot of the Góry Bystrzyckie and on the banks of the Nysa Kłodzka. A sunny, sheltered valley also defines its setting; the spa climate is considered particularly valuable because of this landscape. This gives you two clear aspects to consider when planning your trip: the landscape of mountains and river, and the spa character explicitly associated with the valley.

Spa park and walking paths

The spa park in Długopole-Zdrój is in the center and has walking paths as well as a mineral water pump room. The Park Zdrojowy now covers about 30 hectares. Its approximate area gives you an idea of the park’s scale; its paths and pump room offer different highlights: walks on the one hand, local mineral water on the other. If you would like to take these themes into account when planning, the spa park offers two specific points of interest.

Historic buildings in the spa town

The neo-Gothic Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is next to the Szpital Uzdrowiskowy Mieszko, built in 1881. With its neo-Gothic design, the chapel provides a distinct architectural feature beside the Szpital building. The Park Zdrojowy also has a bathhouse, built in 1834 and remodeled in 1906. Today it is used as the Dąbrówka Sanatorium. The dates help distinguish the original construction from the later remodeling; its current use adds another aspect to its architectural history. For travelers interested in architecture, different features stand side by side here: the neo-Gothic chapel and the bathhouse, with its clearly distinct phases of construction.

Mineral water and the Renata spring

Local mineral water is another highlight. The Karol Natural Therapy Center has a pump room for local mineral waters and a direct spring of “Renata” bicarbonate water. This water contains iron, calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium and silicon. The mineral water theme can therefore be explored from two angles: the spa park combines a pump room with walking paths; at Karol, there is also the direct Renata spring and information about its composition. If you are interested in mineral water, you can find both a connection to the spa park and a specific named water with its constituent minerals.

A historical connection to travel

The spa town’s history also includes how people traveled there at the time. The railway station in Długopole, built in 1882, made it convenient for spa guests to travel there at the time. This historical connection adds a perspective on how spa guests traveled in those days to the architectural history, setting it apart from the town’s architectural features.
