Park railway and route
The park railway in Cichowo is considered an attraction for children and adults. Trains depart from Lipa or Soplicowo stations and travel through the park of the manor and palace complex in Cichowo. This makes the ride easy to plan as a standalone activity alongside your time at the lake. If you want to include the railway in your itinerary, check the departure times in advance.
The Dziesięciu Jezior route offers another way to explore the area: it passes the first buildings of Cichowo. From the paved road, you can turn right into the village centre and visit Soplicowo, known from “Pan Tadeusz”. The route thus passes Cichowo, while the turn-off described here allows you to visit the village centre and Soplicowo. If Soplicowo is your destination, keep this turn-off in mind when planning your route.
Soplicowo: film history and events
In 1999, the buildings of Soplicowo, which had been created on the film set of “Pan Tadeusz”, were brought to Cichowo. The Soplicowo Film Open-Air Museum hosts numerous outdoor events and exhibitions every year, including the Jarmark Soplicowski. You can therefore plan your visit around either the film history or a specific event date. If you are travelling specifically for the Jarmark Soplicowski or a particular exhibition, check the event dates in advance.
