Discover Vo: Culture, Festivals and Architecture
Accommodation in Vo
If you want to stay in Vo and plan your visit around cultural interests, you’ll find a range of options that differ in timing: historic architecture, recurring summer events, an annual festival and a one-off concert with a specific date.
Cultural events, from series to festivals
The Sala della Comunità di Vo’ di Brendola organizes film, theatre and music series. Over three decades, it has hosted more than 130 artistic projects and welcomed musicians from 50 countries. This combination of different disciplines and a long time span makes the Sala a useful point of reference if you don’t want to limit your cultural interests to a single genre.
Another format is Rossodisera-Cinema d’estate, a recurring summer series of open-air screenings in Vo’. The series returns each summer, while individual programmes are tied to specific dates. If a film night might influence your trip, check the programme for the period in question. This will let you factor a potential screening date into your travel plans.
The Sagra dell’Assunta in Vo’ di Brendola has been organized by the Gruppo Sportivo Vò since the 1970s; the association holds it every year. The Sagra is therefore a recurring festival, while Rossodisera is a film series. If you want to choose your travel dates around either event, check the dates for the relevant edition in your chosen year.
Vo’ on the Folks is a festival in Veneto dedicated to world music and folk. In 2026, it celebrates its 30th anniversary. Its genre and anniversary year offer a distinct musical and seasonal point of reference. If you want to plan a stay around the festival, check the date of the relevant edition.
Villa Rossi and the Giazzara
At Villa Rossi (formerly Giustiniani), the focus is on specific architectural details. A plaque above the central window gives 1684 as the year of construction and 1892 as the year of restoration; the building was altered later. Construction, restoration and later modifications should therefore be read as distinct stages. The street entrance features rusticated masonry, two amphorae and the Giustiniani coat of arms. “Rusticated” describes the masonry’s pronounced, relief-like surface; the amphorae and coat of arms are separate decorative elements alongside it.
The Giazzara beside Villa Rossi is still visible as a cone-shaped icehouse. It adds a different type of structure to the view of the entrance. Together with the plaque, these offer three distinct details: the construction and restoration dates, the design of the street entrance and the visible icehouse beside the villa. Those interested in architecture will find different aspects here that can be explored independently of any event date.
A concert with a specific date
On 26 December 2023, a traditional Santo Stefano concert took place in the church of Vo’ di Brendola. It was organized by the choir I Musici di Brendola under the patronage of the Municipality of Brendola. This was a one-off event with a specific date.
