A stay in Taching a.See can be planned around different interests: the lido on Lake Tachinger See, a circular route to religious buildings and a longer cycling tour offer clear options. Is your priority spending time at the beach, taking a manageable walk or going on an extended tour? Local options differ in their themes and types of activity.

Beach on Lake Tachinger See

Taching Lido has a shallow sandy beach that is suitable for children. If you are travelling with children and a beach visit is part of your plans, this particular feature is a useful consideration when choosing where to go. The lido is located in the landscape conservation area around Lake Tachinger See. This brings a family-friendly shoreline feature and a location in a protected landscape together in one place.

Chapel trail: religious buildings and views

The chapel trail in Taching am See passes four religious buildings. The route is 3.5 kilometres long and rated very easy; it starts and ends at the New Church in Taching. Its length, difficulty rating and identical start and end points are useful criteria for planning. The four religious buildings also give the route a clearly defined cultural theme.

A rest area along the chapel trail offers views of Lakes Tachinger See and Waginger See, the Höllengebirge mountains, the Osterhorngruppe, the Tennengebirge mountains and Salzburg Fortress. Near Eging, a Kneipp pool with fresh spring water is located alongside the chapel trail.

The Rupertiwinkel panoramic cycling tour

The Rupertiwinkel panoramic tour is a 35.7-kilometre cycling route starting in Taching am See. From there, it passes through Tengling, St. Coloman, Enhub, Fridolfing, Hipflham, Kirchanschöring, Lampoding, Wolkersdorf, Tettenhausen and Bicheln before returning to Taching am See. Compared with the 3.5-kilometre chapel trail, this is a much longer route: the focus here is an extended cycling tour through several named places, while the other is a very easy loop passing four religious buildings. Check the route conditions before setting off.
