Oberpframmern offers a range of options to help you plan your trip: a clearly measured walking and cycling path, country lanes and ponds in the eastern part of the municipality, and seasonal activities offered by TSV Oberpframmern. When planning, you can choose between a specific route, extended opportunities for walks, and activities subject to changing conditions.

Paths and Activities in Oberpframmern

A 4.1 km walking and cycling path connects the western edge of Oberpframmern with the roundabout on Harthauser StraĂźe. It officially opened in September 2025 and can be used by pedestrians and cyclists. Its fixed length and named endpoints make it a specific option for planning a trip.

Numerous country lanes and a few small ponds in the eastern part of the municipality invite you to enjoy extended walks and bike rides. This gives you a choice between a clearly defined route and extensive walking and cycling opportunities throughout the municipality. If you would like to include a hike in your trip plans, you can also take part in TSV Oberpframmern’s hiking programme without being a club member.

The TSV hiking programme for 2026 may change in terms of individual outings and dates. Before making specific plans, check whether your chosen tour matches the dates of your stay. In winter, TSV Oberpframmern tries to prepare a cross-country ski trail in the forest when weather conditions are suitable. Trail preparation depends on the weather, so bear this in mind if you are planning to go cross-country skiing.

More to Explore in the Wider Ebersberg Destination

Nature and environmental education are also central to the wider Ebersberg destination. Climb the 169 steps of the observation tower in Ebersberg Forest for views across the entire Alpine foothills, from the Berchtesgaden Alps to the Allgäu. On particularly clear days, you can also see distant peaks over 3,000 metres high. The Forest and Environment Museum has been located right beside Ebersberg Forest since 2004 and focuses on the history of forest use and forest ecology.

The Ebersberg Forest Environmental Education Centre has been awarded Bavaria’s “Umweltbildung.Bayern” quality seal and offers events focused on education for sustainable development. These take place mainly outdoors and in the adjacent forest; visits by school classes and other groups are possible.

Seasonal culture is also part of the wider Ebersberg destination. The Kirchseeon Perchtenlauf is a long-standing feature of the run-up to Christmas. In the town of Kirchseeon, strikingly designed masks, elaborate costumes, drums, and bells attract numerous visitors every year and shape the atmosphere.

Herrmannsdorfer hosts a large harvest festival once a year to celebrate Thanksgiving. The food includes treats from the fire pit, porchetta, pastrami, bratwurst, freshly made Auszogne pastries, and freshly tapped Schweinsbräu beer. The barns and workshops also open their doors.
