Jarocin combines architectural history and festival traditions with educational activities and paths through its park. Historical sites sit alongside opportunities to explore science or discover different routes and leisure spots.

Architectural history, museum and city history

Radoliński Palace was built between 1847 and 1853 to designs by the architect Friedrich August Stüler. A dedicated section of the Regional Museum in Jarocin is devoted to the palace and the Radoliński family. The museum’s permanent exhibition covers the history of the city and the Jarocin region from 1793 to 1989.

SOWA is also located in the Regional Museum. The exhibition features 15 exhibits from various fields of science. Its learning concept encourages independent exploration, discovery and experimentation—a different approach from the historical exhibition, but also an opportunity to engage actively with the subjects.

The former Protestant Church of St. George also tells the story of Jarocin’s architectural history: it was built in 1847–1848 and extensively restored and remodelled in the Neo-Romanesque style in 1894. Skarbczyk is a preserved part of the former residence of Jarocin’s owners. The building stands in the city park by the pond, adding a site connected with the area’s former ownership history to the park’s historical landmarks.

Jarocin railway station is the oldest surviving junction station of its type in Greater Poland. It is also the starting point of the green trail and the start and finish point of the red circular route. This makes the station interesting not only as a historic building in its own right, but also as a reference point for two routes with different itineraries.

Compare park paths and routes

In Jarocin Park, the Parkowy Odkrywca educational nature trail leads to the most striking or valuable trees throughout the park. The trail combines exploring the park landscape with a closer look at its trees. A climbing park is located in Radoliński Park, next to the amphitheatre.

The red and green trails differ considerably in length and route. The red trail is a 30.2-kilometre circular route that starts and ends at the railway station. The green trail runs for 24.5 kilometres from Jarocin railway station to Śmiełów, passing Radoliński Palace along the way. If you are looking for a circular route, the red trail offers this; the green trail, by contrast, ends at a different location. Check local trail conditions before setting out.

Festival traditions and leisure spots

The Glan monument reflects Jarocin’s festival traditions. The self-guided discovery route Jarocin Festival step by stepalso takes visitors to places connected with the history of the Jarocin festivals and evokes their atmosphere in the past. If you plan to use this route, check in advance whether it is currently accessible.

Other leisure spots are located at specific streets and points in the park: the skatepark is on Świętego Ducha Street, behind the car park. The pump track is on Aleja Światowego Dnia Roweru, behind the S11 overpass when approaching from Maratońska Street. These details distinguish the two facilities by location; the climbing park, meanwhile, is next to the amphitheatre in Radoliński Park.
