Hiking Trail and Médiathèque

The Les Fées Andaine et Gione hiking trail starts and ends at the Médiathèque car park on Place Roland Fléchard in La Chapelle-D'andaine. This means the start and finish are at the same named car park. The Médiathèque is part of the intercommunal library network RIM (Réseau Intercommunal des Médiathèques), making it a cultural point of interest in its own right.

Its public opening hours are Tuesdays from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Fridays from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. If you plan to visit the Médiathèque, check the hours in advance, as they may change.

Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine

The Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is a Neo-Gothic granite church. It was built between 1893 and 1898 on the site of an earlier church and has an elongated floor plan with three naves. The stained-glass windows in the nave and choir were created around 1895, placing them within the church's construction period.

Three dates should be distinguished when considering the building's history: the preserved bell tower above the porch of the earlier church was built in 1858 and has a spire. The new granite church was built between 1893 and 1898; the windows in the nave and choir date from approximately the middle of this period. This makes it possible to distinguish the surviving structure and its fittings chronologically from the later church building.
