Réveillon brings together a garden open to visitors, historic buildings, an ecologically inventoried area, and experiences centred on Perche produce and cuisine. Jardin La Bourdonnière offers self-guided and guided visits. At Manoir des Rosiers, the focus is on the building’s structure and historic features; the parish church of Saint-Martin adds a different architectural form to the village. For planning your trip, this offers several perspectives on the area, from its landscaped garden to its architectural history and regional cuisine.

A garden with several styles of design

Jardin La Bourdonnière covers 5,000 m² and is located on the site of a former farm, where traces of medieval settlement have been preserved. You can visit the garden on your own or as part of a guided tour. The grounds combine the styles of an English garden, a botanical garden, a landscape garden and a kitchen garden. This combination means the garden is not limited to a single style: botanical and landscape design sit alongside the English garden style and the kitchen garden.

The former farm and the traces of medieval settlement give the grounds a historical background, while the different garden styles shape their present-day design. Visitors interested in gardens can pay attention both to the different design approaches and to the character of the grounds. You can choose how to visit: independently or with a guide.

Church and manor: two architectural histories

The parish church of Saint-Martin has a Latin cross-shaped floor plan. Its nave is flanked by three side chapels, each with a single bay, which together form the transept; a semicircular apse completes the structure.

Manoir des Rosiers appears to have been built in the first quarter of the 16th century for the brothers Simon and Michel Quélin. Its interior was remodelled in the second half of the 17th century. A painted fresco was created by the fireplace, bearing, among other things, the coat of arms of Jacques-François du Pasty. The manor thus brings together its early building history and the later decoration of its interior.

The architecture of the main house can also be described in specific terms: it has three levels. An octagonal tower projects from the exterior and contains a stone spiral staircase made of limestone. Together, the main house and tower give the building a clearly articulated form. The original construction date remains a supposition; the later remodelling and fresco, by contrast, are part of the documented building history.

Landscape and natural inventory

The commune of Réveillon lies within the 6,410.92-hectare ZNIEFF area of Haut-Bassin de l'Huisne, a type 2 ecological inventory area. The inventory edition dated 11 June 2024 lists rare butterfly species and notable fish populations in the area, including grayling, brown trout, brook lamprey and bullhead. These species records refer to Haut-Bassin de l'Huisne as a whole. The natural environment adds a landscape perspective to the area’s history and garden.

Perche produce and cuisine

Une Ferme du Perche in Réveillon sells organically grown vegetables and fruit. In 2026, sales outlets also included the market in Bellême on Thursday mornings and the market in Mortagne-au-Perche on Saturday mornings. The farm’s seasonal producers’ market was scheduled to take place on Wednesdays from 5 to 9 p.m., from the end of June to the end of August 2026. These dates apply to the 2026 season.

For a meal, Sauge, Auberge Percheronne in Réveillon offers both a bistro and fine dining. Its cuisine focuses on the Perche region. This gives visitors different ways to engage with regional produce and cuisine: buying fruit and vegetables from Une Ferme du Perche, or enjoying the bistro or fine-dining offer at Sauge. The Perche connection is reflected in both the produce and the cuisine.
