Rides on a historic trolleybus and events at FENIX are also possible focuses. You can look for a hotel for a trip centred on activity, architecture or events.

Cycling route and orientation

Pamětí Vitorazska is a 90-kilometre historical educational cycle trail. The circular route usually runs from Nové Hrady through Gmünd in Austria and across the border to České Velenice. There are 29 interesting stops along the route, with information boards for learning and recreation. The route combines its cross-border course with a historical and informative focus: the stops invite you to engage with the information on the boards as well as cycle.

The České Velenice Information Centre sells tourist maps and cycling maps. If you are looking for maps to help you find your way, you can get both types there. For a particular tour, you can check in advance which maps suit your plans.

Activities at the RAMPY area

The RAMPY area has a pump track for bicycles, scooters, skateboards and inline skates. You can build up speed on the track without pedalling by shifting your weight onto and off the wheels. A concrete skatepark of almost 600 m² complements the area for non-motorised wheeled sports. The pump track and skatepark offer different ways to get active on wheels.

The area also has a playground intended mainly for younger children. It has a soft safety surface and 3D play equipment that can help children improve their motor skills and balance. The playground provides a separate focus alongside the wheeled sports facilities.

Parish Church of St Agnes of Bohemia

The Parish Church of St Agnes of Bohemia is a modern-style building designed by Prague architect Pilc. It was built by architect Staněk from Trhové Sviny. The church was solemnly consecrated on 22 December 1935.

One distinctive design detail is the stained-glass window in the apse of the presbytery, which depicts St Agnes of Bohemia. The church’s name, its consecration history and the window offer different ways to explore the building and its dedication.

Trolleybus and events

Rides on a replica of the historic TMG 1907 trolleybus can be booked. Availability may vary; check if you want to include a ride in your plans for certain.

Various events take place at the Česko-rakouské komunitní centrum FENIX. The centre was created through the complete reconstruction of a former cinema building. The former cinema is part of the building’s history, while the events reflect its current use. FENIX thus complements the architectural themes of the parish church with the story of a converted building and its role as an event venue.
