Discover Lipinka through the landscape around Bradlo, its marked trails and local traditions. The village lies in a deeply incised basin on the Brabínek stream, below the rocky mountain of Bradlo. If you are looking for a hotel in Lipinka, you can plan your stay around whether you mainly want to hike, cycle or learn about the village’s history.

Landscape and views at Bradlo

Bradlo is the highest point of the Úsovská vrchovina. From there, views extend across the Jeseníky Mountains, Svatý Kopeček and Olomouc to the Mohelnicko area. The basin on the Brabínek and the rocky mountain provide two distinct points of reference for Lipinka’s landscape: the village lies below Bradlo, while the mountain offers far-reaching views.

On the way to Bradlo, visitors can see red deer, fallow deer and mouflons in an enclosure. If you plan to visit the enclosure, it is best to check access in advance, as access conditions may change.

Hiking trails and cycling routes

Lipinka is a popular destination for hikes and cycling trips. A blue-marked hiking trail runs through the village and leads from Úsov via Bradlo and Libina to Velké Losiny. For a cycling trip, several described routes can help you find your way: long-distance cycle route 6031 passes through Lipinka on the Úsov–Klopina–Veleboř–Nová Hradečná–Troubelice route. Long-distance cycle route 6050 also passes through Lipinka, running between Kamenná and Nedvězí.

The two long-distance cycle routes offer different named corridors: the description of route 6031 follows a series of places, while route 6050 is described by Kamenná and Nedvězí as its endpoints. Another option is the cycling excursion route “Výlet plný pověstí” (“An Excursion Full of Legends”), which continues through Lipinka towards Nová Hradečná. The routes can therefore be distinguished by their stated sequences of places and destinations.

Those who prefer to travel on foot will find a long connection through several villages on the blue trail. When planning your trip, the specific route and your preferred focus are therefore more useful than a general idea of a hike or cycling trip: each route follows its own course and passes through different named places.

Chapel, Hody and traditional crafts

The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas in Lipinka is a simple, yellow-rendered building with a rectangular floor plan, a semicircular apse and a small bell tower. The local tradition includes the annual Hody celebrations on 28 September, Saint Wenceslas Day. They culminate in a Mass at the chapel and attract pilgrims from the wider area. The date offers a specific time reference for a trip planned around the local celebration.

The history of household crafts is also part of the village’s story. Historical crafts included making brooms, sieves and riding crops, as well as weaving linen. The sieve- and rake-makers from Lipinka sold their products as far away as Hungary and the Balkans. These trade links show that local crafts reached beyond the village itself.

Getting there and planning your trip

Lipinka has two bus stops, some of which are equipped with passenger shelters. Bus services run to Uničov and Zábřeh. If you are travelling by bus, check the current timetable for your specific travel dates. The annual Hody celebrations on 28 September also provide a fixed point of reference when choosing when to travel; for a stay focused on hiking or cycling, you can instead make the described routes and their sequences of places your main consideration.
