Guided Distillery and Horse Experiences

Woodford Reserve Distillery offers a variety of tours and tasting experiences year-round. The tour route is wheelchair accessible. Self-guided tours and unaccompanied visits are not permitted, so plan your visit around a guided experience.

Horse tours vary in their format and focus. WinStar Farm’s seasonal Morning Shuttle Tour takes guests by electric shuttle to a private training facility. There, they can watch horses train and learn the basics of racehorse training. Check dates and availability before booking.

The Airdrie Stud tour begins at the Stallion Barn. Guests then drive their own vehicles to see the mares and foals; there may be an opportunity for direct contact with the broodmare herd. Cycling, Trails, and Scenery

Woodford County’s quiet, well-maintained cycling routes wind through rolling landscapes, past green pastures, stone walls, rivers and streams, and horse and cattle farms. In Midway, a public bicycle repair station is located at the intersection of Main Street and South Gratz Street.

Big Spring Park offers another way to plan a route: a paved loop trail of about three-quarters of a mile winds through a wooded area. Its length and circular layout set it apart from the cycling routes described above. Life Adventure Center is located in Central Kentucky on 575 acres of rolling countryside.

Swimming and Exercise at Falling Springs Center

Falling Springs Center has an indoor eight-lane swimming pool, a therapy pool, and an outdoor splash pool. Teens and adults can purchase day passes. Paying visitors can also take part in more than 35 weekly fitness classes on land and in the water. Check seasonal pool hours and the current class schedule before your visit, as class times may change.

Seasonal Offerings and History

Eckert’s Versailles Orchard offers seasonal pick-your-own produce; availability depends on the season. On select Friday and Saturday evenings in the fall, the orchard also offers spooky-themed hayrides included with admission. Dates vary by year.
