Discover Morgan County
Accommodation in Morgan County
When planning a trip to Morgan County, you can choose from a range of experiences: waterside nature, guided activities, local history, and seasonal events. The following places and offerings provide specific starting points for planning your trip.
Water, Trails, and Guided Activities
Blaze Falls has three separate waterfall drops and is estimated to be 80 to 90 feet high. The height is an estimate; the number of drops describes the waterfall’s formation.
The Twenty-Six Boat Ramp is on Cave Run Lake in the Cumberland Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest, on County Road 1474 in Morgan County. There is parking for trucks, cars, and trailers. If you are planning to bring a trailer, you can take this parking option into account. Since facility details can change, it’s a good idea to check before your visit.

DeLancey Park features an original caboose and a hiking trail. Here, a tangible reminder of the area’s industrial heritage sits alongside an opportunity to walk. Duck Creek Quail Hunting Preserve offers guided hunts; if you’re interested, check the booking details, as they can change.
History and Memorials
Wrigley Arch is a historic man-made tunnel built by the Morehead & North Fork Railroad in 1907. It spans 35 feet and has an opening height of 50 feet. The two measurements describe different dimensions of the structure: its span and the height of its opening.
Tredway Memorial Park is home to Kentucky’s only military memorial dedicated to women and also includes a Vietnam memorial. Visitors interested in memorials and military history will find two clearly identified themes here.
Caney General Store has an adjoining museum with original artifacts and photographs documenting Morgan County history. Objects and images offer different ways to explore the county’s past. If you plan to visit the museum, check in advance for visitor information.
Morgan County Public Library offers genealogy and reference materials for use on-site. For family history research, it’s a different resource from the museum: here, you can work with materials intended for use in the library. If you have specific questions, check the latest information about the collection.
