Local history

In the 1980s, Sätravallen was a recreational area with cabins, swimming facilities, and seasonal skiing. This description refers to its use at the time. Bestorp’s development is also linked to an earlier transport connection: the village grew in connection with its railway station, which was established on a railway line opened in 1902.
