Ugglarp: Beaches, Nature and Tours
Accommodation in Ugglarp
Several different themes are worth considering for a stay in Ugglarp: three named beaches, Ullarp Nature Reserve, a museum with a collection of cars and aircraft, and guided activities on the water and by bike. This selection can help you plan your days around your preferred focus. The tours also vary in duration: alongside fatbike rides lasting around two to two and a half hours, there is a half-day combination tour with SUP.
Beaches and Coast
Ugglarp’s beach area includes the southern, northern and western beaches. All three have a consistently gentle slope and are child-friendly. This shared bathing characteristic applies to all three named sections. At the northern rocks of Ugglarp Beach, there is a fishing hut and a jetty suitable for crabbing. So, in addition to swimming, this specific activity is also one of the options along the coast.
Nature and Museum
Ullarp Nature Reserve consists of pastureland with many old, majestic oak trees. This combination of grazing land and distinctive trees gives the area its described landscape character.
Svedinos Bil- och Flygmuseum displays around 130 cars and 40 aircraft. In the large hall, visitors can walk between and under many different aircraft. The museum can therefore be experienced not only through the number of exhibits, but also by exploring the hall. Visitors can also buy cake, pastries and open sandwiches there.
Guided Activities on the Water and by Bike
A seasonal, bookable SUP tour follows the Suseån through woodland and open countryside. For kitesurfing, Villa Surf Garden in Ugglarp offers bookable lessons for beginners and advanced riders, as well as private lessons. These are different ways to enjoy an active stay: the SUP tour takes you through a river landscape, while the kitesurfing courses are described as lessons.
Guided fatbike tours start in Ugglarp and last around two to two and a half hours. They follow the coast and pass through the inland areas of Falkenberg; seasonally, they begin in mid-May. Another bookable option combines fatbiking and SUP in a half-day tour lasting around three and a half to four hours in total. The route first goes by bike to the Suseån, then downstream on a SUP to the river mouth, and finally back to Ugglarp by bike. The seasonal booking period for this combination begins in May.
When choosing between the fatbike options, the main clear difference is the time required: the guided fatbike tour lasts around two to two and a half hours, while the combination with SUP takes around three and a half to four hours. The routes also differ: the shorter tour follows the coast and passes through the inland areas of Falkenberg, while the half-day tour includes the ride to the Suseån, the river section to its mouth, and the return to Ugglarp.
