When looking for a hotel for a stay in Kudowa-Zdrój, you can focus your plans on the sights you want to visit: park paths and a promenade, historical collections, a craft demonstration, or a cycling route through several places. Each option leads to a different kind of day. In the park, walks and the pond take centre stage; the museums bring together toys, rural everyday objects and wooden architecture from different periods. At Szlak Ginących Zawodów, a pottery demonstration is part of the visit; the cycling route runs from Kudowa-Zdrój via Czermna and Žďárky to Pstrążna.

Park, views and a guided visit

Zdrojowy Park has walking paths and a promenade leading to a large pond with ornamental carp, ducks and swans. If you want to spend time outdoors, this combination of paths and pond gives you a specific way to plan your visit to the park. The park is listed in the register of monuments; its protected status adds a cultural and historical dimension to a walk.

The Kudowa-Zdrój salt graduation tower is located in Zdrojowy Park and was added in autumn 2022. The Altanka Miłości viewpoint is on Góra Parkowa. The Chapel of Skulls is another place to visit; it can only be toured with a guide.

Crafts at Szlak Ginących Zawodów

At Szlak Ginących Zawodów, you can watch a pottery demonstration. Individual visitors and groups are welcome year-round. The trail also includes a bread house, a cottage with old furnishings, a forge, a windmill and a mini-zoo.

Toys and rural culture

The Toy Museum in Kudowa-Zdrój displays more than 5,500 historical toys and objects from childhood. The collection includes toys from five continents and spans the period from antiquity to the 1990s. Their origins and periods offer two different ways to compare them: you can focus on where the toys come from across the different continents, or look at pieces from widely separated periods. The museum also offers a family trail with a storytelling approach for children aged seven and up, and adults.

In Pstrążna, a district of Kudowa-Zdrój, the Museum of Folk Culture of the Sudeten Foothills preserves old furniture and agricultural equipment from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum permanently displays historic wooden architecture in the folk building tradition of the Sudeten foothills. Rural everyday objects and building methods offer two different perspectives on the region’s culture.

The distinction is clear when choosing between the two museum themes: the Toy Museum explores objects from childhood across a broad span of time and geography, while Pstrążna focuses on everyday objects and wooden construction. So if you want to include cultural history in your stay, you can choose between a collection of objects and architecture on permanent display.

Cycle to Pstrążna

A project cycling route runs from Kudowa-Zdrój via Czermna and Žďárky to Pstrążna, where you can visit an open-air museum about village life in the Czech-Polish border region. If you plan to take the route, check the current route conditions before setting out. When weighing up a park walk and a cycle ride, the sequence of places is another difference: the walking paths are in the park, while the cycling route passes through several named places before reaching Pstrążna.
