The Co-Cathedral of Święty Stanisław Biskup Męczennik was built between 1905 and 1907. It was based on a design by Sylwester Pajzderski, which Roger Sławski revised. Its style is Neo-Romanesque—an architectural classification that connects the building with the forms of Romanesque architecture. Both the period of construction and the two architects are therefore part of the building’s history.

On 8 January 2007, the Co-Cathedral and its associated building complex were entered in the register of historic monuments. The “Reggae na Piaskach” festival is another event associated with the city. Its 26th edition took place on 10 and 11 July 2026 at the reservoir in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Another seasonal option is the tourist narrow-gauge train. In summer, it travels through Piaski and the streets of Ostrów Wielkopolski. During the school year, it runs between Piaski and the educational trail of ZOiGO MZO S.A., the municipal waste management company on ul. Staroprzygodzka.
