When choosing a hotel in Arsié, you can plan your trip around a clear focus: Lake Corlo, historic sites, or regional cheese traditions. These themes are quite distinct: water and trails take center stage at the lake, while buildings and settlements offer different historical perspectives. Alpine cheese and dairy processing add local food culture to the mix.

Lake Corlo: Water and Trails

Lake Corlo is an artificial reservoir in the lower Feltrino area, stretching from Arsié to the remains of the former hamlet of Rocca. You can explore the lake’s coves and secluded corners by kayak. Trails along Lake Corlo invite you to discover the lake and its history. Swimming is not permitted in Lake Corlo, as it is not designated as a bathing lake.

Historic Sites and Buildings

Historic destinations include Forte Leone on Cima Campo. It was built between 1906 and 1912 as part of the Brenta-Cismon fortress system. The most convenient road from Arsié to Forte Leone starts in Arsié’s main square and heads towards Col Perer. Fumegai is an abandoned village in the Carazzagno valley at an altitude of around 600 metres; the hamlet of Fumegai was built in the early 19th century.

In the hamlet of Fastro, the settlement of Solivi includes rural houses with wooden exterior balconies. These were once used to dry agricultural produce. Solivi thus combines an architectural feature with a former use in everyday agricultural life. At Lake Corlo, the Ponte della Vittoria was inaugurated in 1928. In Rivai, 14 niches commemorating the Stations of the Cross line the access path to the Oratorio di San Lorenzo. The parish church of Arsié preserves an original apse dating from before the year 1000.

The Casa Maddalozzo Museum is housed in a typical rural dwelling that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. It presents mountain traditions and a way of life shaped by work in meadows, pastures, and forests. If you are planning a guided tour, you can book by phone at 392-5737174.

Alpine Cheese, Dairy Processing, and Trails

At the municipal mountain huts in the Celado–Cima Campo area, you can taste and buy alpine cheese, butter, ricotta, and other typical products during the summer season. Tasting and purchases are tied to summer operations, so plan this part of your trip for the summer season. In the hamlet of Mellame, the Casel de Melam cheese-making museum recalls dairy processing and other culinary traditions. You can thus view the seasonal offerings at the mountain huts and the history of dairy processing as two different perspectives on regional cheese traditions.

The paved Crer trail descends towards Arsié and offers panoramic views of the main town. It has a different focus from the trails along Lake Corlo: here, the descent and the view of the main town are the defining features, while the lake and its history take center stage there.
