Pusiano brings together Lake Pusiano, a historic town center, cultural sites connected with Giovanni Segantini, and opportunities for walks and bike rides. If you are looking for a hotel in Pusiano, these different highlights can help you decide whether your trip will focus primarily on the lake, history and art, or outdoor activities.

The lake and walks along the shore

Lake Pusiano is part of Parco Valle Lambro. The lake is home to Isola dei Cipressi, which is privately owned. The lakeside promenade along Via Mazzini in Pusiano is a place for walks and outdoor activities; from there, you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Pusiano.

For your time by the lake, you can choose between a walk with lake views and excursions on the water. Trips on Lake Pusiano are offered on the electric boat “Vago Eupili”; confirm that it is operating before your trip.

Historic sites in the town center

The historic town center includes the parish church of Santa Maria Nascente, dating from 1567, and the Oratorio dei Santi Francesco e Damiano, dating from 1709. Palazzo Beauharnais is a stately residence dating from the period between the 15th and 19th centuries. The town’s historic heritage thus includes both individual buildings with precise dates and a residence spanning several centuries.

Large halls and distinctive wooden ceilings characterize the interiors of Palazzo Carpani Beauharnais. If you would like to include these rooms in your travel plans, check visiting arrangements in advance.

Segantini and cultural stops

The Spazio Segantini offers a different focus from the Percorso Segantini: the Spazio is a permanent exhibition space dedicated to the work of Giovanni Segantini, while the Percorso features 13 reproductions of the artist’s original works.

For groups of ten or more, the cultural association organizes guided tours of the Percorso Segantini and sites of historical and cultural interest in Pusiano, by reservation, in the morning and afternoon. If you would like to take advantage of this option, arrange your reservation and time in advance.

The former Cava di Pusiano has also found a new cultural use: the former quarry has been transformed into a venue for numerous musical, theatrical, cultural and entertainment events.

Walks and excursions in the surrounding area

Above Pusiano stands the 16th-century Santuario della Madonna della Neve. It takes about 20 minutes to reach on foot from the center. Set in a clearing, it offers views across Brianza as far as Milan in fine weather.

On the Lungolago, views of the lake are part of the walk; at the Santuario, a destination above the town adds weather-dependent views across Brianza. The lakeside promenade and the walk up to the sanctuary therefore offer different experiences. Trails for walks in nature begin beyond Pusiano. The town is also a starting point for bike rides and other two-wheeled outings.
