Marina di Andora brings together the coast, outdoor activities, nature and culture. Free beaches stretch along the entire Andora coastline. When planning a hotel stay, you can choose your destination based on whether beach activities, birdwatching or cultural sites best match your interests.

Beaches and Waterside Sports

In the “ex Colonia d’Asti” area, a free beach offers 80 metres of shoreline. Near the beach is the Area Beach Volley, an outdoor sports facility for beach volleyball and summer sports activities. People also play freely on the courts; organised sporting events are held there too, especially during the summer season.

For windsurfing, there is a free access corridor to the sea on the western promenade, which is used during the summer season. Sailing is also among the activities on offer in Andora: at Andora Match Race, a FIV sailing school, you can learn the basics of sailing on cabin boats and of wing foiling. The organisation also offers guided e-bike excursions for everyone, accompanied by a qualified guide. Since 2011, its “Vela Senza Barriere” project has enabled people with disabilities to sail on specially equipped boats.

Paths and Nature Around Andora

The Pista Ciclopedonale starts at the railway station and runs along the Riviera di Ponente. It provides direct access to the seafront promenade and beaches. The walking and cycling path is level and is used for cycling, jogging and leisurely walks. This offers several ways to get active along the same route, without assuming any particular walking or cycling time.

The protected Oasi del Merula lies at the mouth of the Torrente Merula, within the municipality of Andora. Numerous breeding and migratory bird species, as well as amphibians and fish, live in the reed beds. Autumn and spring are particularly suitable for birdwatching: many migratory birds stop there then and can often be seen with the naked eye. The Centro di Educazione Ambientale in the harbour area promotes responsible tourism and nature excursions by land and water.

Culture and Marina

Palazzo Tagliaferro is a centrally located cultural centre in Andora. Its exhibition, museum and information areas focus on culture, art and the local area. The Museo Mineralogico “Luciano Dabroi” displays minerals and finds of scientific and educational interest. The Contemporary Culture Center – Galleria Civica focuses on contemporary art and changing exhibitions. In this way, local nature-related themes complement different ways of engaging with art and culture.

The modern municipal Porto di Andora lies east of the built-up area and is easily accessible by land and sea. The marina has around 850 berths for boats measuring 4 to 20 metres in length. The seasons offer a clear comparison for planning your trip: autumn and spring are especially associated with birdwatching at the Oasi del Merula, while the summer season brings windsurfing at the western corridor and organised sporting events at the Area Beach Volley.
