St. Martin’s Chapel: Art and History
St. Martin’s Chapel in Daisendorf was first dedicated to St. Martin of Tours on June 20, 1508. Its frescoes date from the 15th and 16th centuries, are attributed to the Late Gothic and Renaissance periods, and are described as unique in the Lake Constance region. The chapel also houses a 14th-century Gothic wooden pietà. The frescoes are wall paintings; the pietà is a wooden sculpture.
