Moriani-Plage is the seaside resort on the Tyrrhenian coast in San-Nicolao. For planning your trip, several themes are worth considering side by side: the beach on the Costa Verde, a route to Prunete, recreational areas and cultural events in summer. If you’re looking for hotels in Moriani-Plage, you can first consider whether the coast, outdoor activities or a seasonal program is most important for your stay.

The coast and seasonal offerings

Moriani-Plage beach is one of the beaches on the Costa Verde. At the regional level, the beaches of the Costa Verde are described as easily accessible, with free parking and parking for people with disabilities. In summer, wooden boardwalks are laid along the coast, connecting various coastal locations. For planning your schedule, it’s important to note that these boardwalks are a seasonal offering.

Ciné Costa Verde also offers a summer program: it’s about a ten-minute walk from the center of Moriani-Plage and screens a different film every evening in summer. The approximate walking time is from the town center. This lets you complement a coastal visit with a cultural outing in the evening.

The Spassiverde between Moriani-Plage and Prunete

The Spassiverde is a 6 km trail connecting Moriani-Plage and Prunete. You can use it on foot, by bicycle, mountain bike or on horseback.

The distance refers to the route between the two towns. A different scale is offered by the fitness trail in Parc Padulella: it is 1 km long and has various exercise stations. The six-kilometer Spassiverde and the one-kilometer fitness trail are therefore different kinds of offerings: a route connecting towns, on the one hand, and a fitness trail in the park, on the other.

Recreation at Parc Padulella and Parc Aventure

Parc Padulella is at the southern edge of Moriani-Plage. It has numerous children’s playgrounds and a 1 km fitness trail with various exercise stations. The park thus combines play areas and opportunities for exercise in one place. This distinguishes it from the Spassiverde, whose defining feature is its connection to Prunete.

Another recreational option is Parc Aventure de Moriani, located in Moriani-Plage. It has two inflatable castles. If you’re traveling with children, the options mentioned can be clearly distinguished: the numerous children’s playgrounds at Parc Padulella and the two inflatable castles at Parc Aventure.

Summer culture and historical connections

Parc Padulella also has an open-air theater that organizes numerous cultural events throughout the summer. Together with the film program at Ciné Costa Verde, this highlights the difference between the summer offerings: the theater stages cultural events, while the cinema screens a different film every evening. If the program is important for your trip, check the event dates in advance.

Moriani-Plage was also the starting point of Ghjacintu Paoli’s exile to Naples with his 14-year-old son at the time. This historical connection adds another perspective on the town alongside its coastal and recreational offerings. The Pasquale-Paoli Memorial is listed as a place of interest in San-Nicolao. It is a distinct point of interest in the area and should not be confused with a location in Moriani-Plage.
