Pasohlávky offers several different highlights: Roman archaeology around Mušov, waterside paths, cycling and Aqualand Moravia. When looking for a hotel, you can first consider whether cycling routes, archaeological themes, a nature trail by the reservoir, or swimming and sauna facilities will shape your trip.

Promenade and cycle route: two different scales

The 1.7 km-long promenade connects the municipality of Pasohlávky with the ATC Merkur campsite and the lagoons of the Horní Novomlýnské reservoirs. It is intended for pedestrians, cyclists and inline skaters.

The almost 170 km-long Brno–Vienna cycle route also passes through Pasohlávky. It runs away from busy roads, along separate cycle paths or low-traffic Class III roads. The promenade is therefore a local connection, while the cycle route is part of a long-distance route between Brno and Vienna.

Roman heritage around Mušov

The Mušov Visitor Centre explores the historical circumstances surrounding the construction of the Roman fortress at Hradisko near Mušov, as well as archaeological traces of the Roman presence in the area. Multimedia presentations and traditional display cases containing archaeological finds convey both the artefacts and their historical context.

From the visitor centre, the “Mušov – Gateway to the Roman Empire” nature trail leads to the main archaeological sites at Hradisko. The displays inside the centre and the route to the sites thus offer two different ways to explore the archaeological theme.

The visitor centre’s year-round programme of themed events includes the Roman-Barbarian festival Germania subacta. It takes place every year on the first weekend in September. If you want to plan your trip around the festival, check the exact event dates and programme in advance.

From Pasohlávky, you can reach the visitor centre via the local road towards ATC Merkur Pasohlávky and Aqualand Moravia. Check the local route before setting off, as access information may change.

Nature trail by the reservoir

The Věstonická nádrž nature trail starts at the Pasohlávky–Mušov dam and follows the shore of the middle Nové Mlýny reservoir, an important bird sanctuary. Unlike the Mušov trail, which focuses on archaeological sites, this route highlights the water and the protected landscape. Check local trail conditions before setting off.

Thermal water, slides and sauna

Aqualand Moravia is located in Pasohlávky and offers another highlight to consider when planning your trip. Most of the indoor and outdoor pools are filled with natural water from a thermal borehole, which is recognised as a natural healing spring. The facilities also include 20 water slides and a sauna world with treatments. The water in the outdoor Riviéra pool stays above 30°C even in winter. So, alongside cycling and archaeology, Pasohlávky offers thermal water, pools and saunas to suit your interests during your stay.
