Discover Náměšť Na Hané
Accommodation in Náměšť Na Hané
Náměšť Na Hané can be explored through three distinct themes: castle history, the landscape of the Terezské údolí valley and beer culture. When planning your trip, first consider which of these interests you most. The town’s history spans an early Neoclassical castle and works of architecture and art from the Baroque period and the 19th century. In the valley, the botanical landscape also depends on the season. You can use your interests to guide your trip and your search for a hotel in Náměšť Na Hané.
Castle and Town History
Náměšť Na Hané Castle was built in 1766 in the early Neoclassical style, following a French design. Another work with a specific date is the statue of Panny Marie Immaculaty: the Olomouc Baroque sculptor David Johann Zürn the Younger created it in 1709. The castle and statue thus represent different art-historical periods.
The construction history of the present-day Church of sv. Kunhuty can be traced through several dates. The old church was demolished on July 26, 1871; the cornerstone of the present church was blessed on October 17 of the same year. In 1872, the church building and tower were constructed up to roof level. The solemn consecration took place on October 21, 1873. This sequence makes each step, from demolition to consecration, tangible.
The family crypt of the Kinských count family is also part of the town’s history. It was built in the Empire style; three generations of the Náměšť Kinských lie in its crypt. Those interested in historic architectural styles will find another named style and a family history here, alongside the early Neoclassical castle and the Baroque sculpture.
Terezské údolí and Its Seasons
The Terezské údolí Nature Reserve stretches between Náměšť Na Hané and Laškov. The area is considered exceptionally valuable geomorphologically, botanically, zoologically and archaeologically. These four perspectives encompass the landscape, plant and animal life, and archaeological significance.
The plant life changes with the seasons: in the warmer months, wildflowers bloom in the meadows and wetlands. As early as the beginning of spring, the small blue flowers of the Austrian squill appear there. When choosing when to travel, this seasonal change is a concrete difference between a visit in early spring and a stay during the warmer months.
The Terezským údolím nature trail runs through meadows and along field and forest paths in the valley of the Šumice River. There are locations along the trail where warmth-loving plants grow. The trail thus combines different types of paths with opportunities to see the valley’s warmth-loving plant life.
Beer and Regional Dining Culture
The Náměšťský pivovar complex has a brewery restaurant and a garden seating area. Alongside beer, it serves smoked and grilled specialties. The brewery therefore combines a specific selection of food with places to sit and enjoy it.
Pivovar Jadrníček brews beer using traditional methods and recipes, exclusively with Czech ingredients. The microbrewery also has a smoke-free beer hall with Wi-Fi and 30 seats for visitors.
