When looking for a hotel in Město Albrechtice, it’s worth considering the excursions you have planned: views, historic furnishings, family activities, and cycling offer different points of interest. The destinations range from a themed trail just under two kilometres long to a 140-kilometre cycling route.

Views and Routes

The twin-towered Hraniční vrch observation tower is open to visitors free of charge year-round. Its viewing platform is 25 metres high and can be reached via 149 steps.

The Městský turistický okruh connects Poutní hora, the Burkvíz ruins, Linhartovy Castle, the Hraniční vrch observation tower, and Vrch Dubí mountain. The route is 28 kilometres long, of moderate difficulty, and also suitable for families with children. It brings together several named destinations in a circular route.

The Slezská magistrála cycling route covers a different scale: it is 140 kilometres long and runs from Jeseník via Město Albrechtice, Krnov, Úvalno, and Opava to Kravaře. If you plan to use this cycling route, check current route conditions before setting off.

Church Art and Collections

The Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built in the mid-18th century on the site of a wooden church that had burned down. Its furnishings include ornate Baroque altars, including a high altar with a painting of the Visitation of Mary. It is one of the finest examples of Baroque sacred architecture in the Osoblažsko region. The Baroque Column of St. Anne also stands in the town square.

Linhartovy Castle houses a permanent exhibition of rare ceramics by Jan Kutálek. Its focus differs from that of the church art: here, the works of one artist and a particular material take centre stage. The Minimuzeum kočárků a panenek (Mini Museum of Prams and Dolls) displays more than 150 prams and over 300 dolls. Visits are available by telephone appointment, and admission is voluntary. Arrange your visit by phone before setting off.

Family Activities and Things to Do

The Pohádková stezka Ke Krtečkově studánce (Fairy-Tale Trail to the Little Mole’s Spring) is just under two kilometres long and has 11 stops with interactive features and games. It is suitable for families with children and for pushchairs. Compared with the 28-kilometre Městský turistický okruh, it is a much shorter themed trail.

The disc golf course in Bedřicha Smetany Park has six baskets and 20 discs. Fishing and cycling are possible at Rybník Celňák pond; in winter, it is suitable for ice skating. The activities therefore offer a range of options, with ice skating explicitly associated with the winter season.

Jezdecké centrum Město Albrechtice offers rides and training sessions for advanced riders. Children and adults can ride in the riding arena; in bad weather, riding takes place in the indoor arena. These activities must be booked in advance.

Eldorádo Hynčice features a prehistoric scene with dinosaurs, brontosaurs, and other giant reptiles, as well as fairy-tale creatures and other figures. Check the visitor arrangements again before travelling.
