When looking for hotels in Lázně Bělohrad, you can shape your stay around three themes: spa traditions, nature trails and cultural history. For planning, it is worth distinguishing between the different highlights: check medical services in advance; the trails and cultural sites each have their own distinctive features.

Spa traditions and health focus

Lázně Bělohrad specialises in treating musculoskeletal disorders as well as gynaecological, neurological, oncological and dermatological conditions. If this focus is important to your trip, check the specific medical services directly with Bělohradské slatinné lázně in advance. The therapeutic use of peat there dates back to the 19th century. Treatments and the historical use of peat are thus two related but distinct aspects of the spa tradition.

Parks, protected area and trails

Bažantnice is a 51-hectare spa park. The former Annamariánský pramen spring there is now called Pramen Vita. The Kamenná hůra nature reserve offers a different connection with nature: it protects a remnant of beech forest growing on mineral-poor sandstone conglomerate substrate. The Naučná stezka Kamennou hůrou starts in the château park in Lázně Bělohrad and passes through Brtev to the entrance to the nature reserve. The trail ends at the entrance; the rare beech stand is within the protected area itself.

Another route option is the Naučná stezka Hopsík a tajemství starého Bělohradu. It has seven stops and is about three kilometres long. The entire route is accessible to pedestrians, pushchairs and bicycles. There is also a fairytale walk along the pond Pardoubek, featuring carved wooden figures and mythical creatures. The trails therefore differ in their respective features: the length and number of stops are given for Hopsík, the route to the entrance of the protected area for Kamennou hůrou, and the fairytale theme for Pardoubek.

Cultural sites and architectural history

Bělohradská sýpka is a renovated Baroque building open to visitors as a cultural venue. In 2024, it was reconstructed as a multifunctional space for cultural, educational and social events. Concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances, workshops and seminars are held there; check the event schedule before your trip. The first floor has a gallery space with old vaulted ceilings. The operator describes the Sýpka as one of the most significant landmarks of Lázně Bělohrad and its surroundings.

Fričovo muzeum was built in 1903–1904 as a model local museum and is currently closed to the public. Památník Karla Václava Raise has a permanent exhibition about the writer’s life and work and the history of the town. Occasional exhibitions are also held there. If an exhibition is important to your travel plans, check the dates in advance. In Byšičky, the Church of St Peter and St Paul (sv. Petra a Pavla) is listed as an immovable cultural monument in the Czech heritage protection records.
