Zduchovice offers travelers several specific points of interest: the Altánek viewpoint above the Vltava, two cycling routes of different lengths, and the equestrian activities at Jezdecké centrum Resort Zduchovice. If you are looking for a hotel, you can focus on the views and walking trails, cycling, or the riding center’s offerings.

Altánek: viewpoint and trail

Altánek is a rocky outcrop on the cliffs of Zduchovické skály, within the cadastral area of the municipality of Zduchovice, about 200 meters above the Vltava. From there, you can enjoy a view across the central Povltaví region; you can also see a meander of the Vltava and the Na Podkově peninsula. This brings together a sweeping landscape view and a specific feature along the river.

The trail to Altánek starts at the bus stop on the village square and runs along a paved road, a forest path, and a wider forest track. For the final stretch to the viewpoint, you can take either a staircase or an older, narrow forest path. Both final routes descend steeply and are slippery.

Cycling: two different routes

The two cycle routes offer a choice of distance and route. Cycle Route No. 1 runs from Zduchovice via Luhy to Dolní Hbity and is 6.3 kilometers long. Cycle Route No. 2 runs from Zduchovice via Smolotely, Bohostice, Solenice, Milešov, and Krásná Hora to Kamýk nad Vltavou; it is 36 kilometers long. The second route is therefore more than five times as long as the first. It lists five intermediate places, while the shorter route lists one, so you can compare the routes by both length and the places they pass through.

Equestrian sports and sport stays

Jezdecké centrum Resort Zduchovice is located on the edge of the municipality of Zduchovice in the Povltaví landscape. Jezdecký areál Zduchovice organizes national and international equestrian tournaments. The center also offers tailor-made sport stays and activities, including horse training, sport weekends, yoga, and cycling camps. For planning your trip, these provide two distinct options: you can focus either on the tournaments or on a tailor-made sport stay with the activities on offer.

Local history, event, and arrival

Beyond the activities, there is a specific historical connection: Jan Novák laid out a park at Zámek Zduchovice. The Běh do Bukovce is held on Easter Sunday for children and parents. If you are planning a trip around this race, check the event date in advance.

If you are arriving by car, you may park in Zduchovice only in designated areas and along the edges of the roads. Plan where to leave your car accordingly.
