Radhimë is a coastal village whose beach area is characterized by small coves. Modern hotels and traditional guesthouses are part of the accommodation landscape. The coast, protected area and archaeological sites offer different points of reference to help you decide how you would like to shape your stay.
Beach and accommodation
The beach has a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere and is suited to visitors looking for a quiet tourist experience. If you are choosing a hotel for a seaside stay, the character of this beach can be a useful guide. In the beach area, modern hotels and traditional guesthouses are both part of the general accommodation landscape.
Coast and location
Radhimë Beach lies on the coast about 10 kilometers south of Vlora. The coastline stretches for 7,450 meters from Ura e Vrizi to the mouth of the Izvor River. Radhimë is also located on the western side of the Lungara Mountains. These geographical reference points describe both the extent of the coast and the village’s position in relation to the mountains.
A coastal road connects Radhimë to Vlora in the north and Orikum in the south. Radhimë has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and cool, sunny summers. When planning your travel dates, you can take these seasonal characteristics into account alongside the beach atmosphere you are looking for.
Nature and activities by the sea
In the nearby Karaburun Managed Nature Reserve, numerous caves and rock crevices are important habitats for bats and birds. The nearby Karaburun–Sazan Marine National Park offers opportunities to explore hidden caves and coves, as well as to dive and snorkel.
The nearby Bay of Grama is usually accessible by boat from Vlora or Orikum. Activities there include swimming, snorkeling and exploring the surrounding caves. If you are planning a boat trip, it is best to check current departures. Both destinations offer opportunities for snorkeling and cave exploration; the Bay of Grama also offers swimming, while Karaburun–Sazan is also noted for exploring coves and diving.
Visitor center and trails
The Radhimë Visitor Center is the designated information point for the Karaburun Managed Nature Reserve and is located near a boat landing. It is easily accessible to Albanian and foreign tourists. Check whether the center is open during your travel dates before visiting.
At the visitor center, you can get detailed information about the trails in the protected-area network. The Shtegu i Gjirit të Dafinës trail requires sea transport from the Radhimë Visitor Center to Raguzën e dytë. Confirm locally that this transport is available before planning the trail.
