Numerous pastures and waterlogged, flowering meadows shape the landscape of the Municipality of Luka in the valley of the Luka stream. Part of the municipality lies within the third-category Marijagoričko pobrđe landscape. Part of the Pluska forest within the Municipality of Luka is also designated as a landscape and natural asset.

Landscape and routes

The Blue Route leads into the green valley of the Luka stream and follows a gravel road through a lush valley crisscrossed by waterways. In the hamlet of Petki, it branches off towards the remains of Grad Vadina. After 4 km on a level road, the route returns to the centre of Luka at point 24. Its description thus combines the natural setting and directions with a specific return route to the centre.

Churches and history

The Church of St Roch in Luka is Neo-Gothic and was completed in 1864. It is considered one of the largest religious buildings in the Zaprešić area. The church and rectory are designated cultural assets. The chapel in Krajska Ves is also among the most valuable sites in the Municipality of Luka.

Grad Vadina is mentioned as early as the 16th century and was associated with the noble families Depoczi, Bušić, Ožegović, Fodroczy, Modić and Bedeković. The municipal plan designates Grad Vadina as protected cultural heritage. The former manor house in the settlement of Vadina is privately owned; today, only the remains of the manor house at Grad Vadina are visible, and they are in poor condition.
