Cremin lies above Lucens on a plateau west of the middle Broye Valley in the Vaud Plateau. For planning your trip, the main highlights here are the Lucens en 8 hike, two different golf options and architectural heritage with a long history. This lets you focus on your interests: explore a route with two loops, compare golf options or discover the historic character of this village built along a road.

Compare Golf and Mini Golf

Familigolf de Cremin has an 18-hole course measuring 2,500 metres. The facility is set in natural, green surroundings in the heart of the Broye. The admission price includes an introduction, and the offer is suitable for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Familigolf also includes Swin Golf, an activity derived from golf and accessible to everyone.

Another option is grass mini golf: 18 holes are spread across a 1,500 mÂČ facility in natural surroundings. Both activities have 18 holes, but their other measurements describe different things: for Familigolf, the course length is given; for mini golf, the area of the facility. The figures should therefore not be read as two comparable course lengths.

Hiking and Getting There

The Lucens en 8 hike leads to the village of Cremin and is 11 kilometres long in total. It consists of two loops. The first loop is 6.5 kilometres long and starts at Lucens railway station, heading towards Cremin. The two distances refer to different sections: 11 kilometres for the entire hike and 6.5 kilometres for the first loop. The highest point on the route is Dent de Cremin at 653 metres.

PostBus route 445 connects Lucens railway station with the Cremin, Village stop. If you plan to use this connection, check the timetable before travelling.

Activities and Architectural Heritage

Ferme équestre La Perraire offers horseback and pony rides all year round. At La Perraire, a former barn has also been converted into a studio with an art gallery. Cremin developed as a village along a road from the Middle Ages onwards. Its architectural heritage includes a school dating from 1842, a mill associated with a threshing floor, an oil mill and a bread oven. Together, these details reveal different facets of the place: its development as a village along a road, individual historic buildings and other activities distinct from hiking and golf.

Location and Elevations

The former municipality of Cremin covered part of the molasse hills between the Mentue Valley and the middle Broye Valley. Its main part consisted of a plateau averaging 640 metres above sea level. South of the village is the wooded rise of ForĂȘt de l'Envuissel, at 656 metres. To the north, the hill Petit CrĂȘt reaches 670 metres and is the highest point of Cremin. These elevations refer to different areas: Dent de Cremin, at 653 metres, is the highest point on the hike, while Petit CrĂȘt is named as the highest point of Cremin.
