Accommodation in Förslöv
Förslöv offers a range of options for your trip: exercise trails, church architecture, art and a studio that can be visited by appointment. This brings outdoor activities into view alongside culture and specific places to visit. Which of these aspects matters for your stay depends on whether you are primarily interested in exercise, history or art.
Exercise trails and routes
Two exercise trails in Förslöv are lit: one is 500 metres long, the other 650 metres. The difference is 150 metres. If you want to choose between them by length, you can compare the shorter one directly with the longer one. Two specific features are therefore relevant to the comparison: trail length and lighting.
Bjäre banvall is a walking, cycling and horse-riding trail. The Konstslinga längs banvallen runs between Båstad and Förslöv along the old railway embankment. The routes have different focuses: Bjäre banvall highlights the different ways of using it, while the Konstslinga highlights the two place names and the railway embankment. This lets you distinguish between choosing by mode of travel and orienting yourself by the specific route.
Church history and art
An older medieval church once stood on the site of today’s Förslövs kyrka. The nave of the present-day church was built from 1849 to 1851. Pär Siegård painted the altar fresco in 1961. There are 110 years between the end of the construction period and the year the fresco was created. The predecessor church, the present-day nave and the altar painting therefore belong to different periods: the site’s history reaches back to the Middle Ages, while the nave dates from the 19th century and the fresco from the 20th century. The time span helps distinguish the building history from the later work of art.
Atelier Villa Sol
Villa Sol is a studio at Mercurivägen 9 in the centre of Förslöv. Visits can be arranged by prior appointment. During an arranged visit, you can view stoneware, bronze sculptures and oil paintings. The studio offers a different connection to art than the altar fresco: here, three named art forms take centre stage, while the church fresco is identified by its artist and year of creation. If you are interested in both, the works of art and the visiting arrangements differ.
Linhaga Playground
Linhaga Playground is located at Färgerivägen 4 in Förslöv and is one of the public playgrounds in Båstad Municipality. These playgrounds are inspected annually and maintained on an ongoing basis. The inspection and maintenance apply to the municipality’s public playgrounds as a group, which includes Linhaga. Its specific address identifies the park as a place to visit; its municipal designation also indicates its public nature.
