Golondrinas and its local connections

Golondrinas combines a clear connection to nature with a history of cultivation and regional production. Those looking for hotels in Golondrinas can use these different themes as a starting point for planning their trip. The Área Protegida Municipal de los Mallines Altos del Paraje Las Golondrinas municipal protected area belongs to the Municipio de Lago Puelo and is associated with Paraje Las Golondrinas.

The history of cultivation and regional production

Establecimiento El Puente began in 1982 with the purchase of a chacra on the slopes of Cerro Piltriquitrón, in Paraje Las Golondrinas in Chubut, a few meters from the 42nd parallel. Because of its holistic approach, it was considered a model for the region and was visited by domestic and international tourists. In 2007, the Establecimiento moved to El Bolsón. Its history thus links Golondrinas with an agricultural business that attracted attention beyond the region.

A report dated May 14, 2006, described Santa Teresita as a bio-intensive, sustainable cultivation project in Paraje Las Golondrinas. A family grew fruit, vegetables, and aromatic herbs there.

Tours at La Alazana

A local report from June 2025 described visits to the La Alazana factory in Paraje Las Golondrinas. Tourists toured the facilities and the chacra, saw the raw materials, and took part in tastings. If you plan to include this activity, check in advance whether visits are currently available.
