Accommodation in Skrzaty
When planning a stay in Skrzaty, nature and route themes in the municipality of Drawno may be relevant. These include the entire network of hiking trails, individual cycling and horse-riding routes, and named canoeing sections. Their forms, lengths and, in some cases, classifications answer different planning questions: the total kilometres of a trail network are not the same as the length of an individual route.
Nature and hiking trails
The Drawieński National Park and the protected ancient forest complex of Puszcza Drawska lie within the municipality of Drawno. The hiking trails in the national park and its surroundings are 77 kilometres long in total. This figure describes the trail network across both areas, not the length of any single hiking trail. That is a different scale from a specifically defined route: this refers to the network as a whole, not to an individual route that you might consider as a stage.
Cycling and horse-riding routes
A marked circular cycling route in the shape of a figure eight runs around the lakes near Drawno in the municipality of Drawno. The “Zatom” horse-riding route consists of two loops measuring 7.1 and 7.4 kilometres respectively, which are almost the same length. The “Drawnik - Zatom” horse-riding route has a different layout: the 25-kilometre route starts and ends at the “Drawnik” water station, goes via Barnimie to Zatom, and connects there with the “Zatom” horse-riding route. For this route, the description therefore includes a specific starting and ending point, an intermediate location and a connection to the other horse-riding route. The “Drawno - Rościn” tourist horse-riding route runs through varied woodland in the northern part of the municipality of Drawno, along the Drawa River, and crosses the river twice. While the lengths of the two loops on the “Zatom” route are easy to compare, the other horse-riding routes are best navigated by their course, intermediate locations and river crossings.
Canoeing sections and planning
A nearly 58-kilometre stretch of the Drawa River in the municipality of Drawno and the Drawieński National Park is opened to canoeing on two dates. Check the dates and applicable access rules before your trip. Two named canoeing sections can be compared by length and classification: Drawno - bivouac “Barnimie” is 8.7 kilometres long and classified as difficult. Suitable starting points are the landing stage of the Drawieński National Park or the PTTK water station near the road bridge over the connection between Lake Grażyna and Lake Dubie. Prostynia - Drawno is 13 kilometres long and classified as easy. Thus, the longer of the two routes is classified as easy, while the shorter is classified as difficult. Water conditions and access may change; take both into account when making your specific plans.
This lets you compare not just the distances, but also the type of route.
