Konradów brings together several distinct themes: a chapel built in 1917, the history of a former iron ore mine, fields surrounded by forests, and bus connections on routes 254 and 161. The village’s history spans the mining era around the turn of the 20th century and the chapel built in 1917. Sports fields, opened in 2008, are another feature. You can therefore consider cultural history, landscape and travel connections as separate aspects of planning your trip.

Chapel and Mining History

The Chapel of Our Lady of Grace (Matki Boskiej Łaskawej) was built by Jan Popczyk in 1917. Its construction year and builder make it a concrete point of reference in the village’s history. The chapel is also cared for by older and younger residents. Two aspects therefore come together here: its origins in the early 20th century and its continued care by people of different ages. From a cultural-historical perspective, this combines a precisely dated building with a local, intergenerational responsibility.

Another historical reference is the former multi-shaft “Stanisław” iron ore mine. Around the turn of the 20th century, it was located north of the Łojki–Konradów road. “Multi-shaft” means that the mine had several shafts. In chronological terms, it predates the chapel’s construction in 1917; in subject matter, it represents earlier iron ore mining, while the chapel represents sacred architectural history. The two sites thus offer different historical themes: a building with a specific year of construction and a former mine whose location is identified as north of the road.

Fields, Forests and Wildlife

Konradów has fields surrounded by forests. Many animals live in the forests around the village. Open spaces and wooded areas therefore meet in the local landscape. This perspective on the surroundings differs from the individual historical references of the chapel and mine: here, fields, forest and wildlife come together as a landscape theme. If you are more interested in the landscape than in architectural and mining history, this contrast may help you choose a destination for your trip.

Sports Fields and Bus Connections

The sports fields in Konradów opened in 2008; they included a football pitch. This opening year is considerably later than the construction of the chapel and the period of the former mine, adding a more recent point of reference to the village’s history. If the sports fields are important to your trip planning, check their current condition in person.

Municipal bus route 254 connects Blachownia Plac Niepodległości via Łojki with the Wrzosowa and Borówkowa stops in Konradów. The route map was published on 4 December 2025 for service starting on 1 January 2026. As schedules may change, check the current times and route before travelling. GTV BUS also serves Konradów on route 161; you should check its current service as well before setting out. When planning to use route 254, you can compare its stated route and the two stops in Konradów with your travel plans.

When looking for a hotel in Konradów, you can sort the village’s features by how they relate to your trip: the chapel and mine represent local history, while the fields and forests relate to the landscape. Bus connections and the condition of the sports fields are separate practical considerations that you can check for your travel dates.
