Anyone considering Brenno as a travel destination can focus on three specific features: the bathing area at Lake Białe-Miałkie, historic buildings and cycling routes that start and finish in the village. The four marked routes differ in colour, total length and the places along the way. This lets you choose a route based on its length and sequence of stops.

Bathing area at Lake Białe-Miałkie

The “Brenno Ostrów” bathing area is on Plażowa Street in Brenno, by Lake Białe-Miałkie. If you want to include time by the water when choosing a destination, this is a specific place to consider. The bathing area, its street, the village and the lake are all named; the cycling routes offer a separate focus for planning. You can therefore consider whether your trip should focus more on the lake or on one of the designated cycling routes.

Church and historic post mill

The “kościół pw. św. Jadwigi” church in Brenno dates from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The parish church contains a Neoclassical main altar. This gives both a general date for the church and a specific feature of its interior. Neoclassical generally describes a style influenced by antiquity; in Brenno, this classification refers to the main altar.

Another historic building is the post mill, also known as a Koźlak. It stands on the road to Ostrów and is dated to 1794. The dates given for the church and the mill differ in their precision: for the church, a period around the turn of the century is given, while for the mill, a single year is specified. This allows you to appreciate two different historical points of reference without assigning them to the same period of construction.

Blue Cycling Route 2 goes via Górsko, Olejnica, Osłonin, Wieleń and Wijewo, then returns to Brenno; its total length is 15 kilometres. It is the shortest of the four routes listed. Compared with Route 1, it names a different sequence and selection of places.

Green-marked Cycling Route 3 is 17 kilometres long. It runs from Brenno via Zaborówiec, Dominice, Górsko and Miastko, then returns to the starting point. Red Cycling Route 4 also returns to Brenno, going via Zaborówiec, Włoszakowice, Boszkowo, Dominice and Górsko. At 23 kilometres, it is the longest of the four routes.

Routes 3 and 4 share the places Zaborówiec, Dominice and Górsko. Route 3 also includes Miastko; Route 4 additionally goes via Włoszakowice and Boszkowo. Both shorter routes, Routes 1 and 2, include Wijewo and Wieleń, but in a different order: Route 1 goes via Wijewo first and Wieleń later, while Route 2 goes via Wieleń and then Wijewo. These place names help distinguish the routes.

Which route suits your plans?

The routes range in length from 15 to 23 kilometres. There is an eight-kilometre difference between the shortest and longest routes; Route 3, at 17 kilometres, and Route 1, at 21 kilometres, fall in between. If you want to choose based on total distance first, this comparison is a simple place to start. For a more detailed decision, you can then refer to the places listed: Routes 3 and 4 share several place names but differ in their other stops and total length. All four routes start and finish in Brenno.
