Negrisia offers travelers several distinct themes: the architectural and church history of San Romano, the private Villa Wiel, wine tastings, and nature destinations. Some places and activities are directly associated with Negrisia, while others are explicitly located in Ponte di Piave. This lets you include cultural interests, a wine tasting, and a nature outing separately in your travel plans.

San Romano Church and Its History

San Romano Church was built from 1913 onwards to a design by Domenico Rupolo and consecrated in 1926. The dates mark different stages: construction began in 1913, and consecration followed in 1926. The church also contains a Byzantine marble cross. It was recovered from the ruins of the former church, which was destroyed in the First World War, and is associated with Negrisia’s ancient parish church. In this way, the 20th-century church building, the destroyed former church, and an older religious tradition are linked in a shared historical context.

Villa Wiel

Villa Wiel is also part of the area’s history. It is a private villa with farm buildings on Via Fossadelle in Negrisia; it was later known as Zambon and is now called Spilimbergo. The villa stands on the site of earlier buildings dating from the 14th century. Its history therefore reaches back to older buildings, while for San Romano, construction from 1913 onwards and consecration in 1926 are important chronological reference points. The two places illustrate different chapters in local architectural history.

Wine Tastings in Negrisia and Ponte di Piave

At Alla Croce in the village of Negrisia, you can book wine tastings by reservation. Le Rive di Bonato ss offers tasting packages at Via Grave di Negrisia 50 in Ponte di Piave. The two options differ both in location and in the type of offering: a wine tasting by reservation in Negrisia and tasting packages in Ponte di Piave. If you include this in your plans, keep the respective locations in mind, along with the reservation requirement at Alla Croce.

Nature Along the Piave

The Oasi delle Grave di Negrisia is a destination for a nature outing along the Piave riverbed. The outing follows paths and unpaved roads; the unpaved roads are suitable for bicycles only. This distinction is relevant for planning, since the outing described includes both paths and roads. Route conditions may vary seasonally, so check them before setting out.

The Natura 2000 protected area “Grave del Piave – Fiume Soligo – Fosso di Negrisia” (IT3240030) is located in the municipality of Ponte di Piave. The Fosso Negrisia is listed as a watercourse for sport fishing from its sources to its mouth at the Piave. If you plan to fish, check the local regulations in advance, as they may change.

Culture and Routes in the Surrounding Area

In nearby Ponte di Piave, the Casa di Cultura Goffredo Parise preserves the writer’s former home with its personal furnishings, as well as a collection of contemporary art. Alongside Negrisia’s architectural history, you can therefore also explore a literary and artistic connection in Ponte di Piave.

A Veneto tourist route passes through Negrisia on the return leg from Ponte di Piave to Santa Lucia. The route provides another regional link to the area’s cultural and landscape themes.
