Tre Capitelli: Beach, Lake and Trails
Accommodation in Tre Capitelli
Tre Capitelli brings together a beach with lake views, the Acquasports windsurfing school and several named trails. This gives you different options to plan around: time at the beach, lessons or equipment for water sports, and walking routes. On the trails, specific destinations and connections matter; water sports include both basic techniques and rental equipment.
Beach and Lakeside Trails
Tre Capitelli beach offers beautiful views of the lake and is accessible on foot and by bicycle. This gives you two practical considerations for planning: the views from the beach and the option of getting there on foot or by bike. The Sentiero Pieve–Tre Capitelli meets a recently established cycling and walking path on the lakeshore. The beach and the Sentiero are different points of reference: the beach is a destination, while the Sentiero connects to the route along the shore.
Windsurfing and Rental Equipment
The Acquasports windsurfing school teaches the basic techniques of windsurfing in just a few days. If you would like to try this sport, lessons offer a different option from renting equipment. The school also rents windsurf boards, sailboats, pedal boats, SUPs, canoes and mountain bikes. The range extends from water sports equipment to bicycles; when planning, it is worth distinguishing between wanting lessons and needing a specific rental item. Cycling enthusiasts also have two options: the beach is accessible by bike, and Acquasports rents mountain bikes. Operations may vary by season, and rental inventory may also vary. Before your visit, check whether the lessons or rental item you want are available.
Hiking Trails and Planning Your Time
Marked trail No. 458 leads from Passo di Costa Verde to Tre Capitelli; the walk to Dosso Sassello also follows trail 458 downhill to Tre Capitelli. Since the same number appears in both descriptions, pay attention to the destination when planning: Passo di Costa Verde or Dosso Sassello. For hiking route No. 8, “Il Monte Paghera e la Croce dei minatori,” the stages and estimated duration are useful instead. It runs from Tre Capitelli via Monte Paghera and the Croce dei minatori to S. Petronilla and back; walking time is about 4 hours and 50 minutes. The route is rated EE for difficulty. The estimated duration gives you a guide for planning your day: this is a hike lasting several hours, not a short walk. Check current trail conditions in advance; they can change.
