Corpolò: Fountain, Piazza and Local Culture
Accommodation in Corpolò
Corpolò can be explored through specific local landmarks: the fountain in Piazza del Tituccio, its connection to Scureza, and its events, sports and cycling. If you’re looking for a hotel, it helps to first decide what your trip will focus on: local history, an event date or outdoor activities.
Fountain, Piazza and Culture
The Fontana del Tituccio is the defining symbol of Piazza del Tituccio in Corpolò. The Tituccio spring emerged in 1927, when a new well, about 110 metres deep, unexpectedly began to gush. After the piazza was redesigned in 2021, a monument to Scureza was also erected there. The spring and monument are therefore in the same piazza; for a visit focused on local history, they provide two specific points of interest.
Corpolò is also associated with the character “Scureza ad Corpolò” from Federico Fellini’s film “Amarcord”. The monument and the film association offer two different ways to explore Scureza: one through the local landscape and one through the film character. The tomb of a woman is located in the Church of Santa Maria. S. Maria is in Corpolò at Via Belvedere 29. Alongside the fountain and monument, there is also a connection to the film and another specific church location.
Events with Different Themes
The 24th Sagra del Tituccio took place in Corpolò from 3 to 6 September 2026. Its programme included a market for handicrafts and local products. During the Sagra, volunteers from Corpolò made piadina on site. The four-day edition thus combined a market with a food component.
The programme for Titucciata 2026 includes a sunset walk through vineyards and rolling hills, ending at the Cà Perdicchi farm with a communal dinner. The 7th Moto Guzzi Galletto motorcycle gathering also has a clear local connection: both the start and finish are in Corpolò.
The events have different focuses: the Sagra combines a market and piadina, the Titucciata combines a walk and a communal meal, and the motorcycle gathering starts and finishes in town. If you’re planning a stay around an event, please check the specific date of the edition in question.
Sports and Cycling Plans
Corpolò’s football centre was officially handed over to the municipality in 2025. It includes a regulation-size natural-grass pitch for eleven-a-side football and a second hard-surface pitch intended for training. Both pitches are lit for use at night.
The cycle path along Via Marecchiese includes a section from Corpolò to the municipality of Verucchio. If you plan to include the section in a specific cycling trip, please check the current route status beforehand. The walk and the cycle path offer different ways to get active: the Titucciata passes through vineyards and rolling hills at sunset, while the cycle path section extends to the municipality of Verucchio.
