Nadrensee is situated between three lakes. This brings together several specific topics to consider when planning your trip: the hiking trail by Dammsee, the local bodies of water, the church with its architectural and decorative details, and Cycle Route 10 – East of the Randowbruch. Depending on your interests, you can explore the area through hiking and fishing, a cycling tour, or its architectural history. The details below will help you weigh these options before looking for hotels for your stay in Nadrensee.

Lakes, hiking trail and fishing

There is a hiking trail by Dammsee in Nadrensee. According to the list of bodies of water that takes effect on January 1, 2026, Dammsee, Priestersee, Schmiedesee and Karutzenbruch are all options for fishing; fishing is permitted in all four with a fishing permit. According to the same list, Dammsee covers 5.38 ha, Priestersee 3.37 ha, Schmiedesee 3.32 ha and Karutzenbruch 6 ha. This makes Karutzenbruch the largest of the four bodies of water. Priestersee and Schmiedesee are similar in size, while Dammsee falls between them and Karutzenbruch. If fishing is part of your plans, check the applicable rules and required permit again before fishing.

Church and manor house

The Church of Nadrensee is a small, irregularly laid fieldstone building dating from the early 14th century. It has a freestanding bell tower, built around 1700, which houses a bell cast by Johann Jacob Mangold in 1693. The historical details refer to different elements: the building, the bell tower and the bell. The church’s altarpiece features paintings of the Deposition from the Cross and the Last Supper. Thus, as well as its architectural style, two specific subjects depicted in the paintings are identified. Nadrensee Manor House is a two-storey, eleven-bay rendered building with a half-hipped roof. The church and manor house differ in their materials and architectural forms: fieldstone in the former, render and a half-hipped roof in the latter.

Cycle route and getting your bearings

The route as a whole is around 49 km long and rated moderate; it follows low-traffic country and village roads, cycle paths and a forest track. The sequence of places shows where Nadrensee lies on the route, while the distance and rating describe the tour as a whole. Compared with the hiking trail by Dammsee, Route 10 is a cycling option with a stated total distance and difficulty rating. Check current route conditions before setting off, as they may change.
