Lieblingshof
Accommodation in Lieblingshof
For a trip to Lieblingshof, several themes can help you plan: the history of the manor house, the Kösterbeck Nature Reserve in the immediate vicinity of the estate, the Wolfsberger Seewiesen in the surrounding area, and events at the cultural center and the Apple Farm Festival. If you are looking for a hotel in Lieblingshof, you can plan your stay around whether architectural history, the landscape, or a specific event date is your main focus.
History of the manor house
The Lieblingshof manor house was built as a brick building in 1830/40. The history of the new estate began earlier: work on it started in 1799 on the grounds of the Gut Kokendorf estate under Christian Ludwig, Count von Bothmer. The dates therefore mark two different reference points: 1799 for the start of the estate’s development, and 1830/40 for the construction period of the manor house. This makes it possible to distinguish the estate’s earlier development from the later construction of the brick building.
Nature and landscape
Gut Lieblingshof in Lieblingshof is located in the immediate vicinity of the Kösterbeck Nature Reserve. At the nature reserve, the estate offers boarding for animals on ample grounds and pastures. This is carried out in cooperation with the organic farm Gut Darß in Born; animal husbandry there can be ensured in a way that is compatible with nature conservation.
The Wolfsberger Seewiesen peat cuttings are located in the surrounding area. The 19.95-hectare site is designated as an area natural monument. The main reason is the presence of valuable plant species. The “Wolfsberger Seewiesen” landscape protection area is also located in the surrounding area, between Teschendorf, Petschow, Lieblingshof, and Groß Lüsewitz. It is a contiguous lowland moor area along the Kösterbeck floodplain and is used predominantly as grassland and pasture. Its conservation objectives include preserving and properly managing extensive grassland areas, as well as safeguarding their recreational function. The information therefore distinguishes an area natural monument from a landscape protection area with its own conservation objectives.
Yoga and the Apple Farm Festival
Yoga is offered at the Lieblingshof cultural center on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to include the session in your plans, check the current schedule before your trip, as event schedules can change. The Apple Farm Festival is held as a traditional celebration. If you plan to attend, please check the date and whether it is open to the public in advance.
