Graal-Muritz offers a range of options to consider when planning your trip: a 350-metre-long Seebrücke, a 13-hectare natural area and cultural themes that explore local history and art. A trip to Warnemünde, an annual festival in July and a themed trail along the promenade also add their own distinctive touches. The sections below organise these options around nature, history and activities.

Seebrücke and Spa Forest

The Graal-Muritz Seebrücke is 350 metres long. Trips to Warnemünde on the MS Baltica can depart from there. If you plan to take one of these trips, check the timetable before your visit. This makes it possible to include the excursion in your travel plans without assuming a specific departure time.

Another focal point is the Graal-Muritz Spa Forest. The 13-hectare natural area has been officially recognised as a spa forest since 19 April 2020 and is open year-round, at any time and free of charge. The Spa Forest offers a range of activities: the mindfulness trail opened in April 2025 and features six interactive stations as well as QR code exercises. In the Sound Forest, visitors can use instruments made from wood and other natural materials to create gentle sounds. This means visitors can choose between exercises at the stations and making their own sounds as two distinct ways to experience the Spa Forest.

Local History, Art and Events

The Graal-Muritz Local History Museum presents the history and culture of the town. Topics include its founding, residents’ living and working conditions, the development of the spa industry and the storm surges that destroyed three Seebrücken in the town. The exhibits therefore cover both everyday life and the town’s development, as well as the consequences of the storm surges. The museum also celebrates the painters and writers who spent their summers in Graal-Muritz: Professor Müller-Kaempf, Professor Karl Rettich, Lyonel Feininger, Hans Fallada, Franz Kafka and Erich Kästner.

The Graal-Muritz Rhododendron Park has been a listed monument since December 1986. Readings and concerts take place in the park’s concert pavilion. The Seebrückenfest is a recurring event in the annual calendar: the municipality of Graal-Muritz holds it every July, with fireworks. If you would like to plan your trip around the festival, check the dates for your intended year of travel.

Discoveries along the Promenade

The Graal-Muritz Discovery Trail runs along the paved promenade. It features larger-than-life models of Baltic Sea animals and plants; illustrated information boards explain their ways of life and distinctive characteristics. The trail thus combines vivid displays with explanatory information. When choosing activities, you can compare this focus with the historical topics at the Local History Museum or the activities in the Spa Forest.
