Cycling in Immendingen
From Immendingen, you can choose to cycle the Danube Cycle Path towards either Sigmaringen or Donaueschingen. Route conditions are a separate point to consider when planning: check the current situation on the route before setting off.
Since September 2025, mountain bike trails have been available in the Talmannsberg area within the municipality of Immendingen. They complement, among other things, the Danube Cycle Path and the e-bike tours offered by Donaubergland Tourismus und Marketing GmbH. The trails and the Danube Cycle Path are separate options. If you are planning a cycling trip, you can first consider which of these options best suits your plans; check current trail conditions before setting off.
Danube Riverside Park and Immendingen Fasnet
Danube Riverside Park I features a Danube footbridge and a water playground. Tiered seating leads down to the Danube, and there is also a promenade with a circular path. The park thus offers a route for walking, places to relax, and a water play area. Its different features offer various ways to enjoy your time by the Danube, without needing to plan a particular route or length of stay.
Immendingen Fasnet includes a large parade on Fasnet Sunntig. If this event is a deciding factor in your trip, check the date before making plans. This lets you choose your travel dates around this specific event rather than treating Fasnet simply as a general local tradition.
Nature in the wider destination of Tuttlingen
The district of Tuttlingen, the wider destination, covers 734.4 square kilometres. Its landscape includes the southwestern foothills of the Swabian Alb, parts of the Baar region, and the valley of the Young Danube. The northern part of the district is home to juniper heaths and the region of the “10,000-metre peaks,” with ten mountains over 1,000 metres high. Other scenic highlights of the district include the Danube Gorge and the Höwenegg volcanic crater. White limestone cliffs rise above the Danube Valley.
The Danube Sinkhole between Immendingen, Möhringen, Tuttlingen, and Fridingen can look different from day to day: the Danube may carry a lot of water there, be completely dry at various points, or have only a little water. This is distinct from the premium hiking trail “Donauversinkung,” which runs between Tuttlingen-Möhringen and Immendingen. Check current route conditions before setting out on a hike. The natural phenomenon and the hiking trail thus offer two different perspectives on the wider destination of Tuttlingen.
