Discover Güglingen
Accommodation in Güglingen
Güglingen offers a range of reasons to visit: art in the town centre, a Roman Museum, routes through its districts, a castle ruin and an outdoor pool. You can focus your time here on culture, outdoor activities or a visit to the pool.
Art and culture in Güglingen
More than 40 works of art from different eras can be discovered in the town centre. These include reliefs from the Roman settlement as well as contemporary works. The Güglingen listening tour takes you through the town and introduces selected works from among more than 50 sculptures and installations. If you are interested in the local art, you will find both a wide range of works in the town centre and a tour featuring a curated selection.
The permanent exhibition at the Güglingen Roman Museum comprises around 2,000 exhibits spread across three floors, each devoted to a different theme. This layout brings together an extensive collection and several subject areas. In the wider Heilbronn travel region, there is also a family tour of the permanent exhibition at 3 pm on the third Sunday of every month. Check the 2026 calendar dates again before your trip.
St Mauritius Church also adds its own cultural touch: alongside modern paintings, its interior features a unique palm cloth. A series of theatre and concerts takes place in the hall of the Herzogskelter. When planning, distinguish between a permanently presented exhibition and an events programme: no specific dates are given for the series.
Hiking, cycling and Blankenhorn Castle Ruin
The Güglingen WanderDreiKlänge, the circular route around Eibensbach, and the orchard and nature trails offer ways to explore Güglingen, Eibensbach and Frauenzimmern on foot or by bike. One circular route gives a specific distance: the GÜ2 “Around Güglingen” trail is 10.70 kilometres long, forms part of the Güglingen hiking trio and starts at the Wander3Klang hiking car park in Güglingen. You can factor the distance into your day’s plans; no walking or cycling time is specified.
Another hiking destination is Blankenhorn Castle Ruin in Eibensbach, a district of Güglingen. It is accessible year-round without an admission fee. The ruin adds a named destination to the route options, while the trail network also includes the districts of Frauenzimmern and Eibensbach.
Outdoor pool and motorhome pitches
Güglingen’s outdoor pool has a combined pool with a diving area and 1- and 3-metre diving boards. It also includes a 10-by-25-metre swimming pool with four lanes and a non-swimmer area with 788 square metres of water. Three massage jets, two water cannons, a mushroom fountain and a wide slide measuring around 3 metres across and 16 metres long complete the facilities. Seasonal opening arrangements may change, so check the latest information before your visit.
Güglingen has ten designated motorhome pitches in the car park south of the outdoor pool. Access is via Eibensbacher Straße to “Kreuzgärten”. The pitches are available free of charge year-round, with a maximum stay of five days. As practical arrangements may change, we recommend checking the latest information before travelling.
The wine fountain for special occasions
At the Güglingen wine fountain, you can draw red or white wine from the fountain sculpture into a specially designed glass during official events organised by the town or local associations, private celebrations and excursion trips. If you would like to include this in your visit, plan around one of the occasions listed and, if necessary, check the relevant event dates.
