Tabasalu offers various reasons to plan a stay: nature trails, a swimming spot, sports and local culture. If you are looking for a hotel in Tabasalu, you can first decide which activities you want to shape your trip. The nature trail and the international coastal hiking route offer different experiences; there is also squash, a skatepark and seasonal or cultural activities. This lets you tailor your accommodation search to the activities that matter to you.

Trails and Nature

The Tabasalu nature trail is 3.5 km long and lies within the Rannamõisa Landscape Protection Area. Information boards provide details about the local natural features and the animal and plant species found there. The trail’s length is a specific point to consider when planning; at the same time, the boards draw attention to local nature topics. The international coastal hiking route passes through Tabasalu and is marked with a blue-and-white symbol. The two routes can be distinguished by different features: the nature trail has a stated length, while the route through Tabasalu and its markings are the practical points of reference for the coastal hiking route.

You can reach the nature trail by bus routes 108, 108A, 109, 118, 122, 123, 124, 126, 127, 127A, 128, 128A, 129, 129A, 137, H1, H2, H4, H7, H8 and H11, getting off at the Mere tee, Kallaste or Tabasalu stops. Check the current timetable before travelling.

Swimming Spot and Getting There

The Tabasalu swimming spot has a changing cabin, benches and a litter bin. A staircase leads from Tabasalu Nature Park to the swimming spot. The Luugi tee is recommended for visitors with a stroller or bicycle. These are two different things to bear in mind when planning: the staircase connects the nature park to the swimming spot, while the road recommendation is for visitors with a stroller or bicycle.

Sports Facilities

The Tabasalu Spordikompleks has two squash courts measuring 9.75 m × 5.65 m. The courts can be rented, and squash rackets and balls are available. If squash is an essential part of your plans, check the current rental options in advance, as the facility’s conditions may change. The “Inglise miil” fitness trail is also located in Tabasalu Nature Park; its condition may vary. Bear this in mind if you include it in your plans.
