Ludmírov, including all its districts, lies within the Kladecko Nature Park. Forested sections alternate with agricultural land; deep valleys carved by watercourses shape the landscape, including the valley of the Špraněk. This creates a destination with several nature-related features: protected rocky and forested areas, marked hiking routes and a dedicated cycling route. Local cultural monuments and archaeological evidence add other points of interest, reaching far back in time.

Limestone, Forests and Protected Habitats

Geological and biological features come together in the Průchodnice Nature Reserve. The rock is made of Devonian limestone and has a cave and two rock arches. The reserve includes native beech and mixed forests; rare plants such as the Turk’s cap lily and several orchid species are among the examples. Průchodnice also serves as a wintering site for the protected Barbastelle bat. The area thus encompasses both distinctive rock formations and forest habitats with unusual plant and animal life.

Skalky draws more attention to vegetation. On a small rocky hill, the protected area preserves native woodland dominated by beech and hornbeam. The herb layer is rich in species and includes many rare and protected plants, among them lily of the valley, white helleborine and broad-leaved helleborine. Rudka adds a different landscape to this picture: in Kladecko Nature Park, the nature reserve protects mixed forest and adjoining meadows on a limestone rock, also with protected herb species. The three natural areas therefore differ in their emphasis on rock formations and forest habitats, plant life, and the combination of forest and meadows.

Marked Hiking Trails and Cycling Route

Two marked routes are important for finding your way when hiking. The blue hiking trail passes through the administrative area of Ludmírov and is part of the route Blansko – Jaroměřice – Kladky – Milkov farma – Kadeřín – Javoříčko. The green hiking trail touches the southern edge of the administrative area; its route runs from Nádraží ČD Jesenec via Kladky, Hamerky, Kozov and Bouzov to Bílá Lhota. The key difference for choosing your route is geographical: the blue trail passes through the area, while the green one touches its southern edge.

There is also a dedicated cycling route: existing cycle route No. 5030 runs between Konice and Bouzov through the administrative area of Ludmírov. The hiking trails and cycling route offer different starting points for trip planning: the hiking trails are identified by their colors and sequence of stops, while the cycling route is identified by its number and two endpoints. If you want to make nature and outdoor activities the focus of your trip, you can consider these routes alongside the protected areas as separate features when choosing Ludmírov.

Cultural History Across Different Periods

The cultural and historical points of interest range from an early written record to protected buildings. Ludmírov is first documented in a written entry dated November 15, 1382. The Chapel of St. Anne, founded in 1836, stands in the center. Another point of interest is the wayside shrine on the road to Ponikev, which has been protected as an immovable cultural monument since May 3, 1958. In the northwestern part of the village is farmhouse No. 23 in the Empire style; this building has also been protected as an immovable cultural monument since May 3, 1958.

Archaeology provides an even older glimpse of the past: settlement from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages has been documented at Ludmírov–Průchodnice. The medieval record, the founding of the chapel and the dates of monument protection, by contrast, represent distinct later historical points of reference. For travelers interested in cultural history, these offer several clearly distinguishable points of interest in time and place.
