Discover Všeradice: Museum, Synagogue and Hiking Trails
Accommodation in Všeradice
When planning a trip to Všeradice, you can focus on cultural history or outdoor trails. The synagogue and protected church complex have specific historical features; two routes differ in length, number of stops and views. The exhibition topics also range from a historical figure to everyday life in Czech villages.
Exhibitions and Village History
The interactive exhibition at the “Galerie a muzeum M. D. Rettigové” is dedicated to the life and work of M. D. Rettigová. The museum also displays furniture from her era and historical exhibits. Another exhibition, “České vesnice,” explores the history of agriculture and documents everyday life in Czech villages during the 19th and 20th centuries. This brings two perspectives together: one focuses on an individual and the furniture of her era, while the other covers agricultural history and village life.
Historic Buildings in Všeradice
The synagogue in Všeradice was built of wood in 1817 and rebuilt in stone in 1829. Several old wooden benches with painted seat numbers have been preserved inside. The Czechoslovak Hussite Church acquired the building in 1937 and adapted it in 1938. This sequence distinguishes the original structure, the rebuilding and the later adaptation; the painted numbers add a specific detail about the interior.
In Všeradice, the protected complex of the Church of St. Bartholomew (“kostel sv. Bartolomeje”) includes an ossuary and an enclosure wall with gates as well as the church building. These additional structures are also part of the protected complex.
Hiking Trails and How They Differ
The “Naučná stezka Střecha Českého krasu” educational trail connects Všeradice and Tetín and passes over Mount Bacín. It has eight stops and is about 9 kilometres long. Its starting point is about 0.5 kilometres from Všeradice railway station. Before setting off, check both trail conditions and transport connections locally.
The “Vintířova stezka” offers beautiful views towards Český kras along its section through Všeradice and Vinařice. As route details may change, check the latest information before setting off. The trails offer different points of reference for choosing: on the educational trail, you can go by its approximate length and eight stops; on the “Vintířova stezka,” by the views.
Arboretum and Places to Visit
The mini-golf park in the “Dvůr Všerad” grounds includes an arboretum with about 1,900 species of shrubs and plants. The arboretum adds a botanical aspect to the mini-golf park, made tangible by this approximate number of species.
The Koněprusy Caves are 8.5 kilometres from Všeradice. They contain archaeological finds as well as a medieval counterfeiting workshop, adding archaeological and historical topics to the regional perspective.
Všeradická pouť and Local Products
As in previous years, the “Všeradická pouť” takes place at its traditional location in the square in front of the post office. If you are planning your trip around the festival, check the exact dates in advance.
The “Zámecký pivovar” and the “U Paní Magdalény” inn offer “Všerada” beer, as well as spirits and liqueurs produced in Všeradice. The selection of products may change.
