Railway History and Church Architecture

Bedsted was established around 1880 as a railway town on the Thybanen line. The altar is a late Renaissance work and bears the year 1638.

The different periods are reflected in the building’s parts and furnishings, so the church cannot be reduced to a single construction date. Its location is another distinctive feature: it stands high on a hill with a fairly steep slope to the east.
